A teacher decided to let her class play a game. The Teacher told each child in the class to bring along a plastic bag containing a few potatoes. Each potato was to be given a name of a person that the child hated, so the number of potatoes that a child put in his/her plastic bag would depend on the number of people he/she hated.

So when the day came, every child brought some potatoes with the name of the people he/she hated. Some had 2 potatoes; some 3, while some up to 5
potatoes.

The teacher then told the children to carry with them the potatoes in the
plastic bag wherever they went (even to the toilet) for 1 week.
Days after days passed by, and the children started to complain due to the
unpleasant smell let out by the rotten potatoes. Besides, those having 5
potatoes also had to carry heavier bags.

After 1 week, the children were relieved because the game had finally ended.
The teacher asked: “How did you feel while carrying the potatoes with you
for 1 week?” The children let out their frustrations and started complaining of the trouble that they had to go through having to carry the heavy and smelly potatoes wherever they went.

Then the teacher told them the hidden meaning behind the game. The teacher said:

“This is exactly the situation when you carry your hatred for somebody inside your heart. The stench of hatred will contaminate your heart and you will carry it with you wherever you go.

If you cannot tolerate the smell of rotten potatoes for just 1 week, can you
imagine what it is like to have the stench of hatred in your heart for your
lifetime???”

“Forgiveness is not something you do for someone else; it is something you do for yourself. Give yourself the gift of forgiveness”

A son and his father were walking on the mountains.
Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams:
“AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”
To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the
mountain:
“AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”
Curious, he yells: “Who are you?”
He receives the answer: “Who are you?”
Angered at the response, he screams: “Coward!”
He receives the answer: “Coward!”
He looks to his father and asks: “What’s going on?”

The father smiles and says: “My son, pay attention.”
And then he screams to the mountain: “I admire you!”
The voice answers: “I admire you!”
Again the man screams: “You are a champion!”
The voice answers: “You are a champion!”
The boy is surprised, but does not understand.

Then the father explains: “People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE…
It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.

This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life; Life will give you back everything you have given to it.”

Opposite of Love is Hate. Hate is often, the absence of Love, in as much as
darkness is the absence of Light. Hate means, extreme dislike, revulsion,
disgust or detestation; in small measure it can be just ‘dislike’;
When we carry Love in our entire being, we feel light and easy; while
carrying a feeling of Hate, no matter in what measure, we feel heavy. Especially when we harbor a dislike for a person….. a person known to us more than anyone.

By a constant conscience effort, I am myself trying to overcome this
weakness or that ability to dislike someone in whatever measure; for that first of all, I should not put myself in a situation where I am disliked by anyone… and this is what life’s all about….

In the following story, this simple and a deep truth is so beautifully
conveyed.
