CHRISTMAS SURPRISE

Thursday, July 7th, 2011

It was two days before christmas. Harry , Coney, Monty and I were busy building a snowman when Fritz appeared with his little niece Emily and introduced her.
” Emily is from the south and has never seen snow before,” Fritz told us. ” She doesn’t know much about our winters.”
It turned out Emily also didn’t know much about Christmas.” Who is Santa Claus, Waldo?” she asked me, shivering in the cold air.
” Santa Claus. ” I explained, ” brings presents and toys to human children at Christmas time.”
” Does he also bring presents to animal children?” Emily asked.
” Well,” I said , ” he hasn’t been around this part of the forest for many years. I guess he is too busy visting all the human children to have much time left for animals.”
Do you think he will come if I write to him?” Emily asked.
” I don’t think so,” said Monty. ” I ‘ve never seen him, myself.”
” Neither have I,” Harry added, shaking his head.
” You see, Santa Claus is only for human children,” Fritz said to Emily. ” So forget about the whole idea. Let’s go home nopw before you catch a cold.”

Jack’s Grumpy Christmas

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

Perhaps you know that Jack the Carp is an extremely grumpy fish. He is so grumpy that he doesn’t even like Christmas. In fact, he says it’s total misery.

And so when Tim the Tadpole asks Jack what he would like for Christmas he says, “I want to be alone.” It just so happened that the Christmas fairy overheard Jack make his wish, and when Santa came down to the pond, he scooped up Jack and took him over to another pond where he could be all alone.

At first Jack is happy with his present, but then he starts to have second thoughts

Christmas

Thursday, February 12th, 2009

The Christmas story is the story of the birth of Jesus Christ in the town of Bethlehem, Israel. Jesus Christ is the founder and central figure of Christianity. Christmas is a Christian holiday on December 25th that commemorates the birth of Jesus.

Ancient Romans also commemorated Jesus’ birth by making a division of the calendar still in use today. The years before Jesus’ birth are marked as B.C. (Before Christ), and the years after Jesus’ birth are marked A.D. (Anno Domini, which means, in the year of our Lord).

Christmas literally means the Mass (celebration) of Christ. “Christ” is a Greek word and title, meaning “anointed” or one set apart by God for a special purpose. “Christ” is equivalent to the Hebrew word “Messiah.” Based on the words of ancient prophets, the first century Jewish people expected the arrival of the Messiah promised by God as a great deliver of the people.

Chirstmas

Good Morning

It was Christmas and there were so many presents. There were big presents and little presents. I asked my mom if we could open them. She said, “We have to wait for your brother to wake up.” Then, I asked where he was and found out he was in my room (my parents room). She said don’t wake him up and I said I wouldn’t. I whispered “Ronald wake up. Boo!” My Grandmother scared me when I was trying to wake him. “I thought your mom said don’t wake him.”
“I said OK .”

THE PEANUT

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

Once there was a peanut called Peanut. Peanut liked to dance and hop. On Christmas, Peanut was hopping around his Christmas tree. He did not see the presents in front of him and fell over. He tumbled over the tree and both Peanut and the tree fell outside. Poor Peanut felt upset that this odd incident had happend and he sobbed in saddness, because Christmas was ruined. Suddenly, a voice in the woods said, “Don’t worry, Peanut. Don’t be sad. You can still celebrate Christmas after all.”
